"The light here at 5pm is impossible. Stop what you're doing."
From Noor
The light here at 5pm is impossible. Stop what you're doing.
I made something today that I want to give you. It has your quality.
Mint tea and silence this morning. The best kind of morning.

Her story
I grew up in Fez — not Marrakech. My family moved when I was twelve, and I never fully stopped grieving the medina I'd known. Fez is older, stranger, more interior. It made me someone who pays attention to hidden things.
I studied ceramics in Paris for two years, found it too clean, and came south. I've had my studio in the Marrakech medina for seven years. The courtyard is shaded in the morning and golden in the afternoon and I have never once wanted to work anywhere else.
Her world
The courtyard at 7am. Before the heat arrives.
Clay still wet. The moment before it becomes something.
The souk at blue hour. Nothing else like it on earth.
The bowl I made you. Slightly crooked. I think that's right.
I work clay and drink mint tea in courtyards. I will be still with you in a way most people don't know how to be.

"The hollow is the point. Without it, nothing is held."
"Slowness is the most precise tool."
"What the hands make, the mind can finally see."
She's already thinking about you.
